Typically, when the Space Planning dialog is opened for the first time, the spaces list is empty. To get started, import a list of program spaces from a text or an Excel file.

Use the Import Wizard to add program spaces to the Space Planning dialog. The list of spaces are then placed into the DGN. The Import Wizard process is summarized here:

• Preview the Imported Spaces Data
• Bind or map space properties to the imported spaces data.
• Review and or resolve errors.
• Append or overwrite the program spaces list.

The first phase of the Import Wizard involves the Import Wizard's Preview Page. This is where the raw information in the imported file is displayed as it would appear in the Space Planning dialog.
